Hello Chemists

Hello Fellow Chemists, I'm excited to get my brain chemistry going :) One idea that I'm hoping to understand is the statement "We are made of stardust".  I want to really understand what that means.  Is it that we have the same elements that are found in stars?  Is there more to that statement?  Are we made from the stars?  I have read that Carl Sagan said that but I heard it in class as well.  It's just something that always intrigues me.  I'm also in Physics.  I wrote a bio for that class as well.  This is my first time doing a blog and I need practice writing posts.  I think this could be fun when I learn how to add pictures and fun stuff to look at.  All in all, I'm grateful to be in the class with all of you and looking forward to the cool material we'll be covering.  PS I came up with my last name in elements- Pa Nd O  =Pando Pa is Protactinium, Nd is Neodymium and O is Oxygen
