About Time
This will be the first time I've blogged. I'm equating blogging to chit-chatting, but with specific subjects. Start with me! I am fortunate to learn the indigenous healing ways. I don't have the money to travel and learn from the elders in different cultures, and luckily this school has what I need. I'm looking forward to learning the philosophy about health through a different perspective. Actually, the philosophy includes not just the body, but everything. This should be fun.
The Meaning of Time...linear vs cyclical. The clocks that were established for trains still in use when the train tracks are rusted and abandoned. Menstrual cycles, the moon and tides are cyclical. How would our thought process change if we allowed an ebb and flow to our lives. Music marks time in my memory. Smells mark time and place too. The smell of a certain flower reminds me of my elementary When I am doing something that I thoroughly enjoy, I lose track of time. I would like to implement more of the Eastern Polychronic Time practices in my life. The wider context of experiences vs our Western Monochronic Time practice. The Eastern way seems to include more than just what we narrow it down to, but a wide thought process. This thinking could possibly benefit the world. We would be thinking globally when make products. Everyone and everything benefits- that's beautiful and possible. Utopia.
